Life goes on.

As a biological father to Yasmine Shahnaz, of course I am sad to what happened to her. The result from Putrajaya Hospital has confirmed that she is now having Congenital Hyphothyroidism and Atrial Septal Defect. Now every morning I have to feed her 25micro gram hormone tablet and do some physio. Life goes on. I must be strong.I can't let the sadness control my mind and I have to do something for her. Now I must realized that I am facing a new phase of life. The focus is changed, the goal is changed. She is the most priority of all.

My Love ... Yasmine Shahnaz

April is so colourful. Despite celebrating my birthday on this month, so many chaotic events happen on earth. From the volcanic ashes in Iceland, Hulu Selangor by Election, Bangkok Riot and many more unplanned events which can be considered as the divine intervention. There are few bad things happens to me from the cancellation of my flight ticket to Bangkok due to the riot and another waste of money after I had to purchase a train ticket to Singapore (as to switch my holiday plan) and the worst things happen is today (22nd April)

A news from Hosp. Putrajaya that my lovely daughter Yasmine Shahnaz is now suspecting having a “jantung berlubang”. As a father of course I am damn worried. The result of echo, physio and the blood test is still grey but I can see a lot of tears from my wife. Dizzy… A lot of question is dizzying my mind. I am thinking of the dark side of the past and my previous mortal sin. The first think came across inside my mind was, Did I have enough money if the worst thing happen to her and Gosh ...I haven't cover her in any insurance policy yet. The first person I called in the morning is my mom and Sabri. I am just hoping that the result is negative and prays to God to let my daughter run her life as a normal person. What ever faith given by the God, I‘ll take it as Qadza n Qadar and who am I to eliminate things divined by the God.Ya Allah Grant Me Patient.

Dark Side of The Past

Everyone has their own history and dark side. We cannot simply take the things easy when it comes into reputation, credibility and integrity especially for those who wants to success in people centric post (read: - to be a politician) maybe it is quite unfair to judge people performances by the past experience. When it comes into religion and Malay sentiment, it does takes into account. I feel sorry to a politician who is currently contesting a parliament seat for what is happening towards him now, but there’s a price that he got to pay.

I quoted back from Barack Obama “your position now is the result of what you have been struggling in the past; your faith in the future is what your actions of today”. That would be a quotation that related to him due to his successful carrier as a lawyer. Maybe the allegation of being a hard drinker (and he admits it) is a wild and moron strategy. But the other clan might say this is something related to” what goes around comes around”. May be the quote is not referred to him at all but the party behind him. Only God knows.
Referring to the election on this coming Sunday, I would like to say what Jocelyn Tan, wrote on The Star was quite acceptable and there are points should be taken (read: - I like this part, “steak does not go with pineapple juice, it goes with red wine”)

Now is the high time for them to mitigate the problem and do a very serious damage control .The bad scar can't be healed in one day.

I love Rock N Roll !!!

Rock N Roll as my own definition
Through Wikipedia this is the definition. Rock and roll (often written as rock & roll or rock 'n' roll) is a genre of popular music that originated and evolved in the United States during the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily from a combination of the blues, country music and gospel music. Though elements of rock and roll can be heard in country records of the 1930s, and in blues records from the 1920s, rock and roll did not acquire its name until the 1950s.An early form of rock and roll was rockabilly, which combined country and jazz with influences from traditional Appalachian folk music and gospel.
_____________________________________________________________

That’s wiki definition and go to hell with those words. Some of the explanation is damn confusing and I don’t even understand.
My definition is , it is guitar based music in electrified mode, fast beat and usually in the form of three or four piece band. The basic is blues and it is creaming with varies adrenaline and attitude whether it is to fight back spirit , temperamental, scream, bad, evil and everything well-packaged comes from hell.
Rock N Roll in numerous forms
To say that rock n roll one of genre music is definitely too general because it can be consist of numerous forms that evolve through decade. I born in 1977 and I noticed the existing of Rock N Roll in the year 1984 when I was in Standard One. The first song I knew was Isi dan Kulit. Since that I had been introduced types about this demon music. Let me try to recharge back my Hall of Fame music memory which I really adore with until now. Slow rock, Punk Rock, Hard Rock, Hard Core, Heavy Metal, Gothic, Glam Rock, Grunge, Thrash metal, Nu Age, Death metal, Black metal, Occultist and every angst ridden sounds considered Rock N Roll.
But can I say in Malaysia, most rockers are Malay and why? Even the music now considered dinosaur and out of the bloom ,but we can expect the Malay supports on every gigs such as RTW, Jom Heboh sometimes( if there’s any rock band there ) and most fun fairs in small town. Is it about the melody or about the attitude? Aren’t Malay is considered sopan santun and a softy race? And why they need the brutal sound to be cheered and to be celebrated?

My only point of view is most Malay rock song had been fabricated and composed suit to their soul food. They might even don’t have any knowledge about the Black Sabbath, Stevie ray Vaughn or Jimmy Page but they love Opera Hidup very much and most of them preferred the anthem of the year songs and sing a long songs like Fantasia Bulan Madu and Dari Sinar Mata. In simple words, the radio friendly rock song or easy listening but must be in Bahasa because they need to feel the song as well. This group covers 70 percent of total rockers in Malaysia and mostly there are from out of the town. They don’t really celebrate the independent movement but they extremely enjoyed the Battle of the Band to the max. I'm one of them.

What about the other group? Another 30 percent are urbanites who have a lots of music resources. The choices of bands are quite unpredictable depends on their interest and the circle of ages. Some might love U2, Radiohead and all kind of Brits sound but some might listen to hair glam like GNR and Kiss or maybe the current Lamb of God. They mostly have a lot of reading to what they’ve listened. The magz like Kerrang and Rolling Stones are might their text book to their leisure times. They really do have knowledge about this and the other reason is they can afford to have all the multi-sources compare to the other group, where their hometown shows their background (Mak bapak depa kaya, pi mampoihlah ). But don’t just simply underestimate the first group. Rock n Roll is always about the working class not for the urbanites. So for the urban bro’s, I guess you guys are very much poser than Mat Rock Kangkang.

Why do I love listen to Rock N Roll?
The main reason is about the rhythm and melody. The energetic and loudly music makes me feel fresh and it stimulate my inner spiritual to wake up and get ready all the time. The lyrics are always give me a stand and fight factor or to be rebellious for what ever things unsatisfied. Rock N Roll always plants on my mind to be motivated person and be directional person not just a simple follower. Maybe on certain things it portrayed me as an evil and bad Samaritan but the most situations it is inspire me to be success and lead others and there are times the music remedied my worried.

I don’t say that my English as good as Marina Mahathir or the hell damn good verbally and writting but most people I met said that my English is always above the typical. In other words by listening to this music specifically in the west genre, it helps me a lot to improve my diction and vocabulary , but I do listen to Malay rock song as well. (This part the radio should play the “I love Rock N Roll by Joan Jett “) My rock n roll degrees can be said started from the slow hand of Eric Clapton to the fame of Motley Crue and Search and its change the gear sometimes for Nirvana and then paused to the KORN and slightly running up to the hypnotyzed System of A Down or Red Hot Chilli Peppers and it will break-up at the Sepultura throat and finally it touched the growl of Napalm Death.

The last beat.
I love Rock n Roll because I get the benefits from it. Not just the music but also the attitude. Love all, serve all

P/s I'm not Zaid Ibrahim and Rock Roll is never related to him

Sepultura / APC Rio

Intro
Last year, I was getting my Khidmat Cemerlang and granted RM 1000. I was informed by Kak Ton when I touched down from Kuching. While getting back to my house, I asked the taxi driver to stop at one of the electricity outlets to purchase the air-cond set. The weather was so damn hot at that time and I can’t sleep with shirts. The heat is just that the degrees in Dubai and sometimes feel like naked. Wondering what’s in the world that man do, I just wish that the snow will be dropped down at Seri Kembangan. I used the money given for the air cond even I noticed by purchasing the set is a way of destroying the earth. I am one of the million who contributes for damaging to life on earth. Am I as same as the species of Godzilla? Now should I take it out the thing I purchased? What a waste. No I just off when it's unnecessary. I remembered one of the song when I was teenage. At that time I don't even understand what the singer was being throat out. After taking a related to environment course in ITM then only I found that the song was so meaningful to the mother nature. I publish it the lyrics here as my concern towards the mother nature and I support any efforts of making good the earth.

Outro
Rio Summit, Rio Conference, Earth Summit (Portuguese: Eco '92) was a major United Nations conference held in Rio de Janeiro from June 3 to June 14, 1992.
It was an agreement on the Climate Change Convention which in turn led to the Kyoto Protocol. Another agreement was to "not carry out any activities on the lands of indigenous peoples that would cause environmental degradation or that would be culturally inappropriate". Now, we are in the year of 2010 and have we seen the mother earth is currently appropriate? It has been 18 years ago and we still not keeping to what we are promise before
.

P/s Congrats to Sabri /Zaimi & the rest who being rewarded APC this year.Whenever I see my aircond, it reminds me that I was ever being rewarded by the office. The God is definitely fair.

The FA Cup Finale

There were two things that really bothering me last weekend. First, I had to attend the dinner organized by ILAM. Okay nothing much on that. Second is The FA Cup Final between Kedah and NS . I watched right after attended the dinner. I rarely talk much about the local football unless if my team goes finale. The result seems not on the Kedah side even the game was damn tough fight. I have to give some credits to the player even the they face the stadium so gloomy with their underdog rating. The NS team shouldn’t blow their trumpet as the whole world have seen their winning game by the sudden death penalty. The most important thing to Kedah fans, they don’t burn the stadium (like one of the east coast die hard fan).

CHAOS AD 2010 : Anarchy In The Bangkok

STATEMENT BY THE HONOURABLE DATO’ SRI ANIFAH AMAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF MALAYSIA ON THE CURRENT SITUATION IN THAILAND

" Looking at the developments unfolding in Thailand, particularly in Bangkok, and the widely publicized march to take place on 14 March 2010, the Government of Malaysia would like to advise Malaysians planning to travel to Bangkok and those already in Bangkok to keep themselves informed on the latest situation as well as to monitor events closely via Thailand’s local media. Malaysians are also advised to look after their personal safety, avoid premises and areas where rallies and demonstrations are planned, and to seek assistance from the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok in case of an emergency. The red army is now ambushing the capital city of Thailand, Bangkok. The Bangkok Post reported at least 9 peoples were founded dead in the civil rampaged. According to the mainstream news paper that the town monorail “ BTS “ and most major feeder bus had been suspended by the government. On 7 April 2010, Abhisit Vejjajiva appeared on television to inform the public of the Cabinet’s decision to declare a severe emergency situation .The Tourism Ministry of Thai had advised all the tourist to be vigilant, particularly in areas where demonstrations are held.

Tourism is their main profitable sector. Bangkok, the capital city of Thai is the centre of the tourist attraction. The places such as Floating Market, Chat Tu Chak, Pat Pong – the red light of Asian and The Bangkok Calypso Show had been mesmerized a lot of foreigners with the culture uniqueness and their archipelago attraction. A lot of currency bilateral change had been collected by this country through their tourism activity.

The price of Air Asia ticket to Bangkok now can be burned and let it be the priceless dust. All my plan had been ruined by the civil riot in Bangkok and now I have to change my plan. Nevermind…Jalan tetap jalan.

Karma Bumi

It has been karma to a human, when they don’t have money and facing the financial problem they talk more about economy. And now it is specifically arrowed to me. The life cycle is always changed and unlike the static plants, our faith also divined by The Almighty God whether we are up or we are down. My pay slip on the next two month will deduct on my second house installment and it kills my purchasing ability. But that’s okay because I‘d rather be a moneyless as long as I can make another properties. It is not how much you get the money but how you manage the money. Isn’t it? Okay don’t drag so long on that matters and suddenly

I saw an ASNB annual report for 2009 and it slightly forcing me to read. I don’t know why it just really attracts my eyes. So I had a look on that.
What is it that really bothered me? When it comes to numbers and digital, most of the time makes me a hyper a little bit.

In the report shows, it stated only 6 793 632 bumis had invested in ASB which is the only their unit trust. From the gross figures of our total population is 27 million and 60% from it is Bumi where the numbers roughly should be around 16 200 000. So what is the percentage of ASB investor out of the total numbers of them? 6 793 632 / 16 200 000. = is only equals to 41.93%.This figure shows that another 58.06% don’t invest in ASB, or invest in other unit trusts or else don’t invest at all?

But ASB dividend doesn't much also.
This simple diagram also shown that most Bumi still don’t have money. My suggestion is an extreme strategy has to be taken by the current government. But don’t be like the previous pink form distribution where 52 billion shares had been allocated to them and yet now only 2 billion still left behind.

“If you want to help a fishermen success, instead of giving them the fish, why don’t just give them the rod.” Does this make sense?
Look at what happened to the red army in Bangkok .Too much giving off the silver plate and spoon feeding doesn’t twist the faith. It doesn’t challenge their ability to earn a living.

New Economic Model

New economic Model
I had vet thru the speech text by the PM regarding the new economic model written in Bahasa via my e mail. It is quite technical for someone who lack of general economic background like me. And I found that the speech is specifically tailored to economist and those big guns as well.
I had summarized the gist of the speech because it will be the DEB replacement and the most important thing I believe soon on later it will be a syllabus of my generic PPK exam. Other than that, I guess, I would be one of the beneficiaries of the new model if they still can win in the next election.

The goal of the MEB is “ mewujudkan pekerjaan pendapatan tinggi “
(I wish that I could get a better job after this)
and there are few sub-goals which are
“ memberi anak-anak peluang pendidikan terbaik “, -sounds so fatherly and I have done my part by quiting from smoking just to let my daughter go to smart reader and

“ menarik pelaburan berkualiti tinggi”. -not related to me yet

Okay... There are 4 principles in the MEB which is market- friendly, merits, transparent and based on needs. These four things will be circulated thru Pekeliling shortly I guess.
The Bumiputeras will be continued helps thru affirmative policy not based on the race but the needs.

There are few strategies for what they call as Inisiatif Pembaharuan Stategik which are
Meningkatkan sumber pertumbuhan
Memastikan pertumbuhan yang mapan

From the speech he is expecting some expectations for some important sector (well I guess these thing going to be happen anyway)
1. Electric and electronic sector- the research incentive will be granted in the big value.
(maybe you can see more factory workers instead of a lot of retrenchment now and more giant factory will be built soon with the big help )
2. Resource based sector – Malaysia will be green hub for some activities such as research, commercialize supported by public sector.
(I think more research will be produce and should be marketed or else it’s worth nothing).
3. Islamic financial system would be developed to a higher level.
(hhuu.. maybe Islamic banks will at par as other commercial bank , at least and their loan rates would be better than conventional)
4. Big cities like KL and JB will be developed to be more comprehensive
(You may can see more traffic jam after this because of development, more skyscrapers and more indons)
5. Medical and health sector will be strengthened as a central sector of biotechnology.
(Hospitals like Prince Court definitely charge you more and more doctors will be born, good sign anyway- hope it happens to my daughter)
6. IT sector and creative industry will be enriched.
(If not the hackers will be mushroomed the cybercafes, the singer definitely will be on your TV screen more… AF 90 maybe haha haha...or people like KRU will get big grant from the government)

Actually it is a good movement to upgrade the standard of living in Malaysia which not really standard. But I supposed the most important thing is to maximize our purchasing power and that is more important.

Thru the speech text, PM also said that there few steps to be taken shortly i.e.:-

• Overseas investment is allowable for EPF now. (So hopefully dividend rateswould be increased after this not for me as I chooesed pension scheme.)
• MIDA will be corporatized. (maybe more jobs and recruitment will appear in the Star after this , hopefully the pay also good)
• GLC should release their non –core business to let private sector well marketed (Is Petronas going to sell off PJH, or maybe Sime Darby will sell off their nursery)
• A panel to evaluate the private bids for government asset will be set up.
(some kind like tender board, so I guess more transparent)
• Some potential land lots in KL at Jln Ampang , Jln Lidcol will be tender out to private sector to be developed (more skyscrapers and traffic jam, so for everybody who works in KL , don’t take Smart Tunnel after this)
• A new township and would be develop as a new commercial hub somewhere in Sg. Buloh with corporation of EPF ( more jams, if you have money now , just buy the properties there, it will be a good investment)
• Percetakan nasional, CTRM Aero Compiosites, Nine Bio will be privatized soon
(New pay scheme for them)
• And the last one , two of Petronas subsidiaries will be list at Bursa Malaysia this year.

No wonder past few months we’ve been listen to some this news at most mainstreams news paper.
News such as Ananda bought over all the Astro shares, cooperation between Malakoff and TNB for the utilities project in Saudi. It’s all just to increase the liquid shares.

I just hope this model will be success soon and it will benefit all levels of public. Hopefully those people who makan gaji like me can fully utilize of the government benefits and can maximize our purchasing power.

Smile

I just remembered what father said to me when I was kid.If no ones wants to help you, just pray to God. Ask what ever you want.
Today God has shown to me something which I don't expect. I was mumbling for quite sometimes about this person, luckily today he smile and try to cooperate with me without any prejudice. Before this I was trying to pass the hurdle and get some repo recognition or in other words it is an ego race.It doesn't work that way this time.Like genius said ,"if you cannot fight them, join them". Then it works now. I wish this gonna be a good kick start for me to motivate myself for my daily works. Just give my face to him. I'm now reaching at the good edge to
overhaul my inner side and every time I pray, I may ask the God to clean-up my inner space.

"All praise is due to ALLAH"

Phua Chu Kai Gua Poh Kai

I don’t quite understand the strategy when government said to boost up the salary up to USD 15000 yearly equal to RM 4250 per month. What the methodology is not bread and butter of mine because I am not the economist as well except being a house hold fund manager.
That’s might be the good news but I don’t see any further steps yet. I can see that the current model is not really balance but don’t underestimate those people who live in kampong. Some of them are very productive in making money but choose to live underdog. No credit cards, no pharmacy, and they can live without 7- Eleven. As a typical Malaysian, I do have a very limited purchasing power. The commitments of every month and the KL show-off lifestyle with taxes makes the ability to shop is very tight. I had to quit smoking for just to let my daughter going to smart reader. And that’s shows the value of landscape architect profession in KL. It’s worth nothing.

Shopping and buying things are considered a retail therapy for Malaysian especially the women (read: - WIFE). (When they try to discuss something, it means VO and you have to start counting how much left in your wallet, )

But, do we realize that our purchasing power is damn limited compare to people in out state. I can’t comment on the currency and their purchasing power much here, because I had only gone to Europe just once. This example would be a good comparison. The salary of RM 1000 here you can buy a Nike snickers at the price of RM 200 where else for European salary at Euro 1000 they just spend Euro 20 for that type of snickers. If you go to the KL just have a minute to chit-chat with some backpackers you meet. Ask them, what are they doing for a living and don’t be surprise most of them are just normal workers in their country. How many Malaysian professionals can afford to spend money in the Europe every year?

What ever strategies that the government is trying to implement, it shouldn't involve high impact implication to the public. We are enough of taxes, I guess, When you walk in to the KFC or Mc D, you’ll be taxed for your meals and same thing if you go and watch cinema, where entertainment tax is well applied at RM 2.20. And don’t forget your yearly car road tax and the quit rent for your shelter. It’s all burdened. I heard rumors GST would be implemented soon and there will be higher price we’ve got to pay. Gosh…please don’t add on anything yet. I am suffocated with all the paying things now. I really hope the government wouldn’t apply additional taxes in order at the current situation to achieve the goal.OH...by the way, this month the LHDN aka tax collector is switching on their E- Filing and it will be off at the end of this month. It’s time for everyone to pay. Duh!!! ps...jgn la sampai mcm ni (see attachment file)

The Bird's Fairytale

Once upon a time, on a tree named Jacaranda lived a flock of birds. But amongst of all the birds, they are three most senior birds. Isle, the magpie, Elm, the nightingale and Thames, the canary lived together with other birds in a big tree. They have 160 children and their children had grown up. They themselves were too old to fly but amongst three of them, Isle the magpie is the eldest and he is the leader of all. They are living happily together with other birds on the tree. Every year without fail they will celebrate the “tree ritual ceremony “. It is a ceremony to appreciate their tree, their shelter. They are working together with the children. As usual the children will look for foods for them. Usually Isle will get more than others. There are sometimes they have to fight with the enemy that attacks the tree they lived. Once there were tornado named Fawd who came and blow the tree like a thunder. They knew that they cannot fight with the Fawd tornado so that they try to hide at the branch. They were safe until the Fawd just gone blown with the wind.

There are times they have to fight with other bigger bird. Nouri, the peacock always attack and chase their food. Nouri always talk big and no ones will beat her as she thinks she is the best birds of all. Isle, the magpie and as a leader he always thinks how to make their shelter safe. He realizes that their tree always being attack by the enemies. Knowing that he is too old too handle he always ask opinion from the other birds Elm, the nightingale and Thames, the crow. Amongst his two assistance's, Elm is considered reliable but Thames a bit slow. Elm always gives good idea to safe the tree as their shelter but Thames always thinks that he is the most beautiful birds.

One day, they were sunning themselves on a branch. Isle said “I am too old to be a leader in this tree. Let me stay in other place and I wish someone will replace me”. Elm said “I don’t want to be a leader, because I think Thames deserve more. He is stronger than me and he still can fly”. Isle ask” why? Do you think you cannot fly? Elm said that he has a deceased on his wings”. Thames remains silent as he thinks he deserves more.

On one cloudy day, Isle just left the tree as he feel he wants to be isolated .The tree became chaos and all the birds are talking about their leader. Suddenly, the tornado came and attack the tree and most birds flew disappeared. The only survive in the tree are Elm and Thames. After quite sometimes, the tree became creepy and silent and most birds were frightened to stay at the tree. Elm takes a step to call the birds again to stay at the tree as their shelter. He tried to convince all the birds that the tree is the safest place for birds. As a result, all the bird agreed to stay at the tree and they appoint Elm as their new leader.

While Elm being appointed as a leader, Thames just do his works. He is also being appointed as the assistant to Elm. Elm is new leader and he needs advises from other birds as well. He realizes being a leader in the tree, is the responsibility for him to make sure that every birds are safe and living happily in the tree. One sunny day while they were chattering, comes a crow named Jackbird who wants to rule the tree. He starts to point finger the other birds fault and he claimed he is the best birds of all. Every bird seem hated the Jackbird and they starts to complain at Elm, their leader. Elm just said “frankly speaking, I don’t know who sent the Jackbird here, and they are times I do agree with the jack bird” Flying with unsatisfied, all the birds leaves the tree with cry. They think they can put on hope of their leader, but they can't. Now the tree becomes creepy and rotten. No ones wants to stay at the Jacaranda big tree, because they feel Elm is not on their side.
