Minyak

To all whiny Malaysian, read this.This writer, unfortunately i don't know who he/she is, took the time to lay it out in a simple and straightforward manner which NOBODY can misunderstand. Malaysians are much too spoilt/ungrateful/ignorant
and it's painfully apparent.

***************************************************

This is lengthy but please bear with me. This is worth reading through [a lot more worth your time then reading stupid comments from our politicians and equally ignorant ppl].

We're not actually comparing apple-to-apple here, as most countries listed have a very long reserve life (the amount of years they have till the oil is finished) and they have a low population compared to their oil reserve (hence they can cater to their own needs without any bother to the supply). Some research can do wonders instead of blaming others.

***************************************************

UAE
population = 4,380,000
oil reserve = 97 billion barrels
production rate = 2.5 million barrels per day
Reserve life = 107 years

Kuwait
population = 2,851,000
oil reserve = 99 billion barrels
production rate = 2.5 million barrels per day
Reserve life = 108 years

Saudi Arabia
population = 24,735,000
oil reserve = 260 billion barrels
production rate = 8.8 million barrels per day
reserve life = 81 years

Iran
population = 71,208,000
oil reserve = 136 billion barrels
production rate = 3.9 million barrels per day
reserve life = 74 years

Nigeria
population = 148,093,000
oil reserve = 36.2 billion barrels
production rate = 2.3 million barrels per day
reserve life = 43 years

Venezuela
population = 27,877,000
oil reserve = 80 billion barrels
production rate = 2.4 million barrels per day
reserve life = 91 years

Malaysia
population = 27,452,091
oil reserve = 4.8 billion barrels
production rate = 550,000 barrels per day (resources from internet salah. Aku kira production hari2, sila ikut nombor aku)
reserve life = 33 years

And the Ahmad fisherman notion that we extract oil from the ground without costs, or little cost, is NOT TRUE. Foolish, even.

FYI, to extract oil from the ground, there're 3 main cycles: Exploration, Development and Production. I wont go into lengthy explanation here, lets just have an overview of Drilling campaigns that need to be carried out on all three cycles.

Drilling Campaign:

Rig: RM552,000 per day (minimum)

->We dont make rigs. We rent them. The deeper the ocean, the pricier the rig. And FYI, shallow waters of Malaysia is running out of oil. We are running the final race on shallow waters , have to concentrate on smaller pore-sized fields and taking the greater risk and more cost on deepwater fields.

Supply boat : RM 209,509 per day (minimum)

-> we need at least 2 supply boats.

Thats the cost of just two of many, many more items involved in Drilling campaigns alone. I'd like to reiterate that these campaigns occur in ALL of the 3 cycles, each campaign is at least 4 months. Do the maths or better yet, put it in a fancy Excel and publish it around.

Thats just costs involved in extracting the oil.

How about transporting it to shore? How about refining it for industries, daily stuff and for your car?

Some may ask why are we selling our oil, since we can use it? Well, here the answer: WE DONT HAVE MONEY. What else can we sell to make money? Tin? Gold? Pepper? Rubber? All these calculated together would not make even a small portion of profit in O&G. Our oil is of one of the best quality in the world because it is low in sulphur. Fyi, we dont need best quality oil for our cars, its only used in industries and in jets. In the international market the oil price is on average USD130/bbl, ours would be close to USD140/bbl.

And then some might additionally ask, SO WHERE DID ALL THE OIL MONEY GO? Please refer to the statistics above, we have less than 50yrs of supply of O&G, although more explorations are aggressively being done in deepwater and smallfields. PETRONAS needs the money to ensure that we have the supply AFTER 50 years. PETRONAS is aggressively pursuing O&G projects overseas, and these projects does not come cheap. In other words, PETRONAS is not the nation's piggy bank, its THE bank for our children's children.

So please, do not be swayed easily by cheap-mouthed politicians who does not have the in-depth knowledge about how the process goes. If they say they want to use our oil money, please do consider our children's children. PETRONAS have been supporting the nation by giving back almost 60% if its profits.

Itu pakai cheap labor tu. Our skilled engineers, even often frustrated by the meager wages they get for risking their lives at sea, sometimes for weeks, still they stay and think of the country. I'm proud to say a lot of them are very patriotic. But also a lot of them are enticed by Middle East countries and others to work for them for more attractive salary. Nak recruit orang baru senang, but we have to train them and training takes 2-3 yrs!. Since we are running our last mile in our existing oilfields, we need experienced workers, and they dont come cheap.

So next time any politician says, DUIT PETRONAS PEGI MANA?, ask them back DUIT CUKAI SAYA PEGI MANA?

I think that would be more appropriate :p

***************************************************

THE POINT: All you whiners don't understand how PETRONAS literally carries Malaysia on its shoulders. If you run this company into the ground, our economy will crash and burn. It's not that easy to run a company, let alone replace one, that contributes to most of an entire country's GDP. So, if you're looking forward to a future of de-volvement into yet another struggling 3rd world country, then go ahead and keep it up. You're focusing your resentment on the whole party entirely. And if you can't understand that, well, I don't think I'd really need to explain anything about you now, would I?

Sad But True II

If we think that we’ve been thru the hard time there are people out there who are running the life even sufferer than we are. My colleague and officemate Hjh Hamisah has been confirmed diagnosed as breast cancer patients few months ago. She is now fighting for her life will be getting chemotherapy medical protocols next week. At her busyness in fighting the cancer, she had sent me a book entitled “Ikhtiar Penyembuh Penyakit “specifically for my daughter. I was so touched and I pray to the God to grant her a good health. Besides of her sometimes drama queen acted, I am sure the cancer case is not easy things to be handled and it s not about a drama to be made. Its real and I hope she’ll be strong in facing on this.To Hajah Hamisah , Be strong. May Allah Bless You

Cerita Kawan2ku (Yg Banyak Duit)

Munna is preparing on his upcoming wedding. His reception is possibly on 20th November at Ritz Carlton. He then asked me to be one of important person for his side. I feel proud of him who finally managed to decide settling down. We’ve been discussing about these couple years ago and a lot of names being proposed to him and I am sure there must be something special about this Japanese girl, Sayuri who finally succeeded to get this flamboyant flight driver. I still remember last time how frusted he was when he found out his last girlfriend flirted with other man. Since that, Munna became the biggest player on air. Knowing his financial status, I am sure he doesn’t have much problem. Munna is a very handsome man, always share his problems with me and he is a pilot.

Pie and Yan are going to Perth on October 2010. They planned to watch the Metallica World Magnetic Tour at Burswood Dome, Perth but unfortunately the concert’s ticket were sold out. According to Pie, he had booked the Air Asia ticket but the only way to get the concert’s ticket is via eBay.com but I told him it is quite risky as eBay only a trading website like Mudah.com. I then advised him to purchase the ticket thru smuggler there. I am sure there must be third party who really opportunist who bought the ticket in bulk then going to sell it over as they open the booth near the concert’s venue. It’s been funny to hear stupid joke from our conversation on the phone when he told me what he’s going to wear on that particular gig. Pie is an extremely rock n roll daddy plus a successful event manager and Yan is partner to a landscape architect consultant. They are husband and wife

2 Parties/ 2 Faces

Intro:-
If two parties are able to be united for the national interest in UK, why it can’t’ be happened in Malaysia? Hmmm…just realize that we are living in the most political country.

Chorus:-
If the leader thinks the most enemy is not the liability, why must we concern about his administration’s problem? Otherwise if something bad happened he should be responsible and the picture of illness is always appeared on his face. There are friends who really want to save the world but the world is just not enough. It is being pirated by anonymous now since few months ago. So why must you bother and on another hand you are now facing the healthy crisis in your family.

Outro:-
There are people who are two faces. He/She can be your partner or vice versa. Don’t let this things happens because it is the most dangerous of all. The hidden enemy in a troop means the troop is troop of doom. Believe it.

IJN

Malaysian Medical Resources.18th December 2008: - Sime Darby Bhd has expressed interest in taking over the National Heart Institute, or Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), a move that has met with objections from the ministry of health, sources said.
It is learnt that the Ministry of Finance (MoF), which owns IJN, has submitted a proposal for the privatisation of the hospital to the cabinet. Health industry officials are not surprised by the MoF’s move as the ministry had sent out feelers to government-linked companies to gauge the interest in such an exercise.
Sources said that both Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and his deputy Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad do not agree to the proposed divestment.
“They do not agree to this sale unless there is a safety net for the poor and the underprivileged. Their needs have to be taken care of. And the time is not right,” said a source.
Sources said Sime Darby’s interest and the positive reception from the MoF do not in any way mean that a deal is certain.
“It’s a preliminary exploration. There is still a long way to go as there are a lot of things to be ironed out,” said one of the sources.
One of the concerns is whether IJN’s charges would increase should it be taken over by a private corporation.
__________________________________________________________
That was the news from the world of madness. It must be the idea from hell where someone in the top post is living. Do you think that most working class Malaysian can afford to pay the bills if it’s transferred to Sime Darby ? I don’t understand with the previous government. What they think is total capitalism.

I just had a check up for Yasmine Shahnaz and I observed the patients here. Most of them are from the middle class. See the picture below and look at the crowd including the most front person.
Thanks to Dr. M who aggressively protest the IJN privatization. He said “Don’t just think about money, give it to the public”. I can smell whose hand that full of maggots.

A News from Republic of Corruption

Sri Mulyani will be appointed as Managing Director of World Bank according to Sarawak mainstream newspaper , Borneo Post, April 5Th. The question is, is that considered a compliment to Asian or else is just a new colonialism to Asian.
Sri Mulyani is currently in charge of finance in the SBY cabinet as minister. She is reported to tenure her resignation after being permitted by the republic’s president. Via the headlines, she is now the proud of Indonesian. The market shared of Jakarta had been down 3.2 point after she’d being confirmed of the post. The appointment of her happens as one day after she’d being investigated by an international anti corruption agency. Before this, she was being accused and alleged in her involvement using public fund to save the Bank of Century. Again, is that a good sign or another crumple? The appointment remains question after all we had several qualified candidates all over Asian country. Why can’t they pick some one from high-developed countries such as Singapore or Hong Kong if not Malaysia?
Is Indonesian being authored to be the follower after facing a big debt to the World Bank? Just imagine if you have a saving account but controlled by the third party. I see the appointment as same as creating another loan in factoring method where the acceptance letter being guaranteed by the creditor.
After several years of the financial crisis at 1997, [the maid –produced country] are burdening with the big debt of IMF. Is there a new strategy of the west oriental’s to get new chance in ideology colonialism by appointing someone from poor country. This thing remains question. What a mess in the magnetic world in the year of 2010?

Labour Day in Singapore

April 30th, 2010

Zareene and I took a midnight locomotive coach to Singapore. It was very strange of a birthday celebration. Both of us had planned the vacation earlier before we’ve got to know the Shahnaz thing. Bangkok trip had to be canceled due to the riot and I donated the ticket back to Air Asia with the best compliment and "full-hearted". I had to sacrifice the Double Trouble Concert as the advertisement of the gig was not well publicized and I missed the gig.( now when I watch the concert via youtube, i feel like crying ...ohhh pls I hope they gonna produce DVD ) I can say that this trip is the process to boost up our spirit and fight against our inner self sadness for both of us. We took Ekspress Senandung Malam which provide us simple bed just enough for both of us to sleep up and down. At the cost RM 40, nothing much we can complain but we have blame our self if fail to sleep.

May1st, 2010
We reached Tanjong Pagar Station at 8.20 am. Yeah... I did brushed my teeth after the Woodland‘s immigration inspection. The last time I took train to Singapore was with Yan and Prof Kamariyah Kamsah, when I was 23 doing my final thesis as Kreta Ayer was my study case. M. Hassan since 1976, a hot spot food stall in Tanjong Pagar station is still provides the kicking Lontong and Mee Jawa. I just don’t miss this place and that was the nodes that Pn Kamariyah reminded me last time. Just don’t miss this place if you dropped at Tanjong Pagar.

We walked to Kreta Ayer to recall back the last time trip and I found nothing much has been changed except a mega apartment called Cantontment@Duxton. It is a big and high density apartment linked to another apartment by the sky bridge.

After lost at 20 minutes walking to nowhere and my ear had been pained with Zareene’s mumbling, we took MRT at the Outram Park station to Dhoby Ghaut. Right after reached the Dhoby Ghaut , we hanged couples of minutes at Plaza Singapura then we arrived at Istana Presiden. It was an Istana Open Day and the fee is only $1.00 per entry. Living in high rise makes most Singaporean enthusiast with the large open lawn at the palace. As for me, nothing much to appreciate except the fountain part just like an engagement ceremony in Alice in Wonderland movie.

Bored with crowd and the hot sunny day, we walked to Orchard Road. Orchard Road is the must place visit in Singapore. The road is linked by the most huge shopping centres. Paragon, Ion, Tangs, Takashimaya The Atria and hot spots for mak datin - mak datin and they sell no imitation stuff. From Coach and LV , if you have money.. all expensive and high class stuff here. If you want to buy something like Pasar Baroe in Bandung, Orchard is not the place . Exclusive N Expensive.The distance between Dhoby Ghaut and Orchard is quite far actually even just one station void each other. Damn, I thought dekat but perghhh I can feel the sweat my underarm. In the first place I thought want to make a back pack tour but knowing Zareene with a little bit of her Madam attitude, I decided to take Hop-On Hop Off bus to tour every single nodes in the island.

We had our lunch at Warong M. Nasir at Killiney Road. The food is amazing and cheap. Just try the rendang and the taste is exactly like Sari Bundo in Jakarta. If you walk through Orchard Road, just stop at Orchard Plaza and mind your left if you are from the 313 Sommerset and that is the Killiney Road. The shop is just beside a kopitiam.
After the lunch we went to Esplanade Park and here we were amazed with the newly mega structure in Singapore in progress. A theme park on the sky linked three buildings is being built and expected to be launched at June 2010. I said to myself my goodness, what a crazy architecture in this century. I do understand if they don’t have enough space to play but building a theme park on the sky is pathetically an insane idea even most people might think this going to be a masterpiece of Asia.

The esplanade park which linked to Fullerton and Raffles now is a very festive area compare to my last time visit. I remember I slept under one of the bridges to save some money in order to complete my study case last time. Now the area is more celebrative except the Boat Quay.

The Boat Quay, one of the significant places and very sentimental to me. Here, I won a betting with some Mat Salleh in Manchester United Café last time due to an FA Cup final between Arsenal and Man U when I was a homeless in Singapore last time. May be King Thierry Henry and God really want to help me on that particular day due to my financial crisis. The café is still exists now with the same facade but the crowd is slightly different. I heard Boat Quay is going to be demolished soon due to the development and political wheel. I thought it’s only happen here.

We walked through the river esplanade and reached at Promenade at Clarke Quay. Wowo…marvelous. The food republic in the centre court is well designed and good placement. The prize of the food might give an idea of how much of the cost to build the food paradise in Clark Quay.

After amazed with Clark Quay we decided to go to Bugis Street. Boring with the long waits at Furama we decided took a bus to Bugis. The uptown scenario in Singapore and don’t forget to eat at Albert Centre. A lot of traditional Asian food catered here with affordable price. If you want to buy all the cheap staff, Bugis Street is the place and you won’t get it in other places in this Lion City. Very cheap but in Singapore Dollar so make sure your arithmetic ability helps when you spend your money.

After tired with walk we went back to our hotel at Bencoolen. I can recommend the 81 Bencoolen because it is quite cheap compare to other hotel but the receptionist sucks. Ok lah setakat nak tidoq kan.By the way Bencoolen is an English name for Bangkahulu but the real Bangkalhulu is in Sumatera. Historically, the modern father of Singapore, Stanford Raffles was a Lieutenant General of Bencoolen before he met Singapore so when he arrived Singapore then after he met this place he felt the place is just like Bangkahulu and he renamed the road as Bencoolen. That is the story like lah.
Then ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz time.

May 2nd. 2010.

After the checked out the hotel we took the breakfast at 7 Eleven. (pelikkan...cheap n cool) then we walked to Dhoby Ghaut. We took MRT to Harbour front station and from there we climbed up to Vivo Shopping Centre and get another train to Sentosa.

We reached Siloso Station and then went to Fort Siloso. That was the most stupid decision I made for this vacation , I think. Nothing much to appreciate. A war diorama gallery has made my wife scared. I don’t even understand about the Singapore battleship during the video session. Fort Siloso is just suit for ex army tourist and not me. What a waste of money. I also couldn’t stand with the wax artificial soldier. Yerkkk !!!
But I just realized that Prof Zainur Hakim just copy the idea and sold the idea to JLN and that's what being interpret and transpire in Taman Merdeka JB . Good designer copy the idea and great designer rob the idea. Sapa cakap …Aristotle? NO..Brut told me that last time.

We continued to Merlion and viewed the panoramic of Singapore. After that we went the Imbiah Look Up Tower. Quite impressive lah .

The best part of Sentosa is the Universal Studios. As you reached the entrance the hallmark sculpture welcome you with the original anthem of Uni Studio. My wife and I decided not to enter Universal Studios I don't want feel damn guilty if Yasmine find out later because she’s the one who eager to come here. It is not about the budget constraint otherwise we just want to be fair to Shahnaz too. Kalau nak bawak, bawak dua-dua.Lagipon Yasmine dah ke Bandung last year. We are planning to visit UStudio in the future when Yasmine a lil bit bigger and Shahnaz can really appreciate what all these cartoons about.Otherwise Bukan mahal sangat pun. I can imagine how my daughters will be hyper and hypnotized looking all these characters. Maybe another three or four years depends on my pocket money at that time.
We went back to Orchard after half day spends in Sentosa. Kaki pun dah bengkak ini jam. Just enjoy the percussion salsa show in front of Takashimaya and then we ate at Lucky Plaza. Letih tahap gaban!!

While waiting our train at Tanjong Pagar I heard someone called me . When I turned back, it was Wan Shyrell , one of classmates.Lama dah tak jumpa mamat ni. He worked there and married with Eidayu..also my classmate ( sure dah kayer dah couple ni …Sin Dollar pay maaa!!– that ‘s the first thing came across to me when I heard they professionally practice in Singapore). After a half and hour chit-chat, we took our train back to KL Sentral .A simple advise to whoever wants to travel to Singapore , just take midnight train 2nd class, cheap, affordable, convenience and u can lying down ZZZZ on the train.
