PTPTN: An experience.

I am PTPTN borrower and completely finished my studies in 2002 for my first degree. My father at that time was completely pensioner and as a Felda settler he can’t afford to support me. As a student from a working class family a sufficient fund is needed to bare my studies. Hoping for a scholarship at that time is something impossible due to my diploma’s CGPA is just half cooked. To cut it short, I took PTPTN to fund my studies and cost of living else well. Without any briefing for the interest, a desperate young man grabbed it without asking anything.

Waiting for the fund to be transferred so suffocated and I had to wait for the second semester. Luckily my saving helps me a lot. I was lent RM18, 000 and according to the agreement I had to pay every monthly installment for about RM 110 for ten years without fail. With that amount, I pay my house rent, tuition fees and thesis preparation. Again there sometimes I swindle that money going for cinemas and attending weekend rock n roll gigs .As for me it just isn’t a wrongdoing by doing so as I believe I would pay back the money plus interest. Failing to do so would derive an interest would be imposed with some percentage which I never bother at that time.

Graduated in 2002 then I get a job in an architect’s firm with pay at RM 2500 gross at that time and my take home pay is about 2300 after reduction of EPF. Living in KL where status quo counted, having a car is a must for a graduated landscape architect. With a little help from my brother in law, I commit a second hand national car with the installment at RM 600 per month. With that car, I dream of having a girlfriend and the secretary of my office was the main targeted. God is always on my side and she then became my girlfriend and off course there is price I had to pay. At the same commit with someone you already confirm to be your long live partner urged a money saving. Again I had to save for big day and I ignore PTPTN.

The need statement of current living lifestyle whispered me to ignore PTPTN as it is there are other things more serious and priority rather than paying back to government.

After three years serving in construction firms with a good pay I then join the public sector. Still I haven’t paid any cents to PTPTN. Joining government with a low pay plus I just getting married are another good reason for not paying PTPTN even I saw some circulars by the government is catching out the dogs like me. Still I pay not any cents.

One fine day, I saw one memo on top my table saying that I was selected to be station in Chiang Mai and it happens on Ramadan. To be place working out of from country, as a civil servant need to have a good CV with top management and they did asked whether I pay my study loan. I then just grab the taxi to KL Sentral , for PTPTN One Stop center . Since that I pay my study loan monthly.

Today several students demonstrates their unsatisfied towards PTPTN. They launched a new university called Universti Dataran Merdeka and urged for a free education. The increment of cost of living is the main reason and some samples of free tertiary education in other country is model for them. True enough paying back PTPTN is burdened but by abolish it what would happened for those good payer like me. Are they going to pay me back or it just unlucky I was because I was and am a discipline payer? I would suggest the government just to give the loan without interest. That’s the best. For those who are currently paid , align it back, if it more , pay back to them , if that is equal then time to stop. If it less , ask them to pay.

PTPTN without interest would make everyone happy.

Junkyman grumbling

Writing is not everyones passion. Writing blogs is totally different with journalism .I am just dust compare top bloggers of Malaysia and definitely nothing to heavyweight journalists like Datuk Kadir Jasin, Jocelyn Tan, Datuk Rocky and Nuraina A Samad. Experience in some music magazine like ROTTW and some small articles in some underground zines, Readers Digest dont comfort me as a good writer at all. To be a good writer off course reading is a must and I hardly read a heavy things. I am lame to all of that and all of my texts are very straight forward, simple, soulless maybe some are nut.

According to The Scribe of Kadir Jasin , he said As the fortunate journalists who work in the era of all the Prime Minister, beginning with Tunku Abdul Rahman, I dare say the days of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is the most "unique”. Despite various accusations thrown to Dr Mahathir and his era, including grip, cruel and "draconian", but in his era too. "some of the best journalism, outputs and writers were produced."In his time, only one condition is needed if we want to debate with the government that we'll have strong arguments. Ideally, it should be more powerful than the Prime Minister's argument, or at least equally strong. But in the end we'll have to admit that "he was the boss."Wow the introduction sound so official. Writing papers in the office is also something burdened .yet, “a lazy to write boss who often direct us to write just to take full credit. The name should be printed under his/her name where else their IP is just a preposition or may just change the passive voice to the active voice. This draconian directive by taking full credit is completely pirates and IP robbery. I experienced once in the office but few times with magazine people. Realizing my paper was junk then it just let it be. Only Junk robs my junk papers.

Exodus Prayer

I finished my last Friday with full of sin by ignoring Friday’s prayer. Inviting two mothers and an unmarried colleague to IKEA finally granting me bad payback . I had to re- queue for my lunch meal after one of them having hearing problem or maybe ENT. I get punked. From that , Zareene always the best choice of mine.

The week is begun very dull and like most every day, my boss laid his ass on my visitor’s chair. We chatted for twenty minutes before I went out for pooh – pooh. Pressing out all the junks is good escapism . I‘d rather do my work without having casual chat with him and not even a cup of coffee. But he'd seem adore to talk to me.Sharing something stupid and bad jokes are quite interesting with him sometimes.
Well, waiting for postgraduate application to be opened is so stressed and suffocated. 6th May for UM and UITM, I had to wait the announcement. Ohh yeah .. I need an exodus. At least meeting someone new, getting new challenge, new environment and everything is new. I need a better life. Having violin class on Monday morning, Quran class on Tuesday, next day for driving range and having Davidoff cofee at my front yard is something irresistable. This is not at all impossible but certainly a little bit difficult after the great damage done to the very fabric of my horse power that has held me together since Jaspal enter my department. He screwed everything.

Submitting my last paper for HLP application for local university was the best choice I made. Considering the burden and those financial headaches by two of friends who pursued out states, off course their choice shouldn't be a good carbon copy. Maybe it just practical for me to go out states as a tourist , not as student. I cannot live beyond our means and continue to be debt-ridden to the point of bankruptcy just to facilitate the study holiday in other country and handing out hugely unrealistic life.

Oh God please make September this year faster than ever.

Looking to my daughter's eye

Raising kids now is costly and it may up higher everyday as per our expenses being controlled by capitalist. Thinking of the worst case happens to my princess in the future, I think of something considering all of my applications for her insurance were rejected. Shahnaz’s health now is improving positively and she is talkatively has some argumentative with me with her own language. Yesterday was unfortunately for her as she first fell down from toy bike and second fell from our sofa like coconut dropped. Her ability in speech makes me dizzy a little bit but our pediatrician said it is normal for a hypothyroid kid. Shahnaz is not entitled for any Malaysian insurance due to her sickness.
As a result Zareene and I decided to purchase her a house so that future wise she just doesn’t have to worry to think about it. Not to jeopardize her monthly income in the future, I commit for another house for at least the rental fees would go for her if she might not able to work . For Kakak , she is normal, I assume she 'll proceed as normal life so that she can stay in our current house in the future . At least she doesn't have to commit a housing loan. Not intent to proud of it and just be ready for the future. True enough, my father not just left an IC for me to grow, but with his hard earn to get me a good education so that same goes to me to transfer it back to his hereditary. Well I am getting more from what he got last time so I give more to my kids. Close friend of mine, has beg to differ with my idea but I believe it just a temporary and not until he 'll be getting his newborn, I believe he'll thinking the other way.For the way I'd being granted, I'll give better then.
Those are our plan but off course God’s plan the best for both of my kids

Vote for Change or Vote for Remain

Every time I purpose to travel to Thailand then explosion comes and riot run down. What a curse ..? Maybe that’s the only headlines that give me keen to hear now.

TV3’s news recently is getting into my nerve and I couldn’t stand it anymore. Publishing invisible ghost bulletin is being their subject matters of the first twenty minutes. Win at all cost is doing in every way. Both side play fool and appears tendencies to crown the power. In my country politic mean power racing at all cost. After polling day then, keep quiet and eat all cakes.

Frankly Malaysia such a beautiful country and too many things being subsidized perhaps many people keep complaining the household priced up every day. Here we practiced low tax with low price of services but all domestic stuff are at suffocate price where else in outstate they practiced the other way around. By and large both are same practiced where the ledger will cumulative the figure of total amount spent. Some said we deserve better and why?

It seems PR offers much better but BN‘s efforts to heal the pain and damage control also undeniable. Then, who’s who and which’s which? A bit hard for those who is very in the middle like me but aren’t this type of people would change the result?

I better see the name first before making any decision.
