Phua Chu Kai Gua Poh Kai

I don’t quite understand the strategy when government said to boost up the salary up to USD 15000 yearly equal to RM 4250 per month. What the methodology is not bread and butter of mine because I am not the economist as well except being a house hold fund manager.
That’s might be the good news but I don’t see any further steps yet. I can see that the current model is not really balance but don’t underestimate those people who live in kampong. Some of them are very productive in making money but choose to live underdog. No credit cards, no pharmacy, and they can live without 7- Eleven. As a typical Malaysian, I do have a very limited purchasing power. The commitments of every month and the KL show-off lifestyle with taxes makes the ability to shop is very tight. I had to quit smoking for just to let my daughter going to smart reader. And that’s shows the value of landscape architect profession in KL. It’s worth nothing.

Shopping and buying things are considered a retail therapy for Malaysian especially the women (read: - WIFE). (When they try to discuss something, it means VO and you have to start counting how much left in your wallet, )

But, do we realize that our purchasing power is damn limited compare to people in out state. I can’t comment on the currency and their purchasing power much here, because I had only gone to Europe just once. This example would be a good comparison. The salary of RM 1000 here you can buy a Nike snickers at the price of RM 200 where else for European salary at Euro 1000 they just spend Euro 20 for that type of snickers. If you go to the KL just have a minute to chit-chat with some backpackers you meet. Ask them, what are they doing for a living and don’t be surprise most of them are just normal workers in their country. How many Malaysian professionals can afford to spend money in the Europe every year?

What ever strategies that the government is trying to implement, it shouldn't involve high impact implication to the public. We are enough of taxes, I guess, When you walk in to the KFC or Mc D, you’ll be taxed for your meals and same thing if you go and watch cinema, where entertainment tax is well applied at RM 2.20. And don’t forget your yearly car road tax and the quit rent for your shelter. It’s all burdened. I heard rumors GST would be implemented soon and there will be higher price we’ve got to pay. Gosh…please don’t add on anything yet. I am suffocated with all the paying things now. I really hope the government wouldn’t apply additional taxes in order at the current situation to achieve the goal.OH...by the way, this month the LHDN aka tax collector is switching on their E- Filing and it will be off at the end of this month. It’s time for everyone to pay. Duh!!! ps...jgn la sampai mcm ni (see attachment file)
