Debt With A Cause II: Singaporean Chapter

Calculating the daily expenses and manage monthly account is not something rocket science. It just a simple arithmetic where plus minus is derived and you don’t need to hire an accountant to monitor your pay slip and Tesco bills. Friend of mine, like many people out there including me who have financial sore throat complained that every month being suffocated by the outstanding bills and feed the household. The normal bitter of life is out of money, I said to him. He quitted from the office and getting new job at not that interesting salary offered and he said that’s the best formula for his account. Yesterday, he said he regret of doing so and feel cheated by his current employer for not paying the extra increment promised last time. Oh dear, I am so sorry for that but you are the one who totally reject our point of view at that time. Again, wrong spinning your dice resulted small number but that’s doesn’t mean you cannot move your step ahead.
Last night movie on channel 2, still circulating about the challenge living in the city and give a good moral to urbanites. It s about three main characters, three main characters are Chew Wah Keong ,who is a white-collar worker, but a spendthrift Ong a contractor; and Hui who is a coffee shop waiter, and has a crush on one of his customers, Susan. Keong quits his job after an argument with his boss over a promotion. He is unable to get a new job, due to his lack of academic qualifications and computer illiteracy. With installments and bills to pay, and a family to support, Keong lands heavily in debt. His wife, who dislikes his spending habits, leaves him, taking their daughter with her.
Ong borrows S$40,000 from a loan shark (which I believe all this while only exist in Malaysia) confident that he can clear his debt quickly, as he is about to settle a debt his friend owes him. However, Ong's friend runs away, and Ong, unable to repay the debt within the two-week deadline, gets beaten up by the loan sharks. Ong then runs away to Johor Bahru to hide from the loan sharks and settle his friend's debt.
When Hui attempts to woo Susan , JoJo asks him for his mobile phone number. As Hui did not own a mobile phone, he started shopping for one, but instead of the latest model, he ends up buying a Motorola DynaTAC 8000x, mistakenly hearing from Ong the bigger the phone, the better it is (and this part I laughed to the max ). He once went for prostitution in Geylang, but backed out at the last minute when the prostitute arrived. Hui actually chat with the hookers which they never having any intercourse. Hui also went out on a date with Susan, but found out that Susan is actually an insurance agent. The three friends manage to raise sufficient capital to start a car-polishing business together. The best part was when they proposed the company’s name and all junks. Hui quite confuse when he tried to fill the ROC form at Sex Column Box whether to answer how many time he made love or to write still virgin. He also confuse the meaning of F and M as he think that is Father and Mother.

However, after the loan sharks continue pursuing Ong, and Hui's mother is diagnosed with leukaemia and hospitalized subsequently, Ong and Hui decide to withdraw their shares, but without success because they had all used their money to set up the business and buy the equipment. Hui's mother dies. The loan sharks turn up at her wake and pursue Ong. A police chase then ensues and the gang is arrested. Keong convinces his wife and daughter to enter an obstacle race, and they win the first prize of $100,000, which he uses to pay his creditors. The film ends with the car-polishing business turning them into the directors of Autoglym when an employee (Jin Shamsuddin) is satisfied with their skills and brings them to his manager. Ong and Hui are out of money again, and Keong lends them money. Keong ends up penniless – again. The ingredients to succeeding of urban challenge are work hard and well manage your account but some people just unlucky.

There are people who keen to blow the whistle first to get fast recognition from others. Another officemate story who want to pursue study abroad this coming September claimed that having a maximum number in government unit trust account and that’s sound yeah.. yeah ..On the other hand we’ve found out it’s an overdraft transaction. Show Off! Money is not everything and but it does precedent in most cases by the pride and by reputation.

KL Gangster... $&$#@!!!

KL Gangster is a fool story with a lot of fights that never digest any cells of your brain. I might be was influenced by the figures shows on mainstream media and 10 million is a big number for local movie. Unfortunately, it is definitely not as good as The Godfather or Donny Brasco. It is just something cheap idea from Yusof Haslam Jr. Two problematic siblings and getting involve with gangsters and being manipulated by their leader. Until the end of story there were no such illegal thing the clans had done except fight and kill people. There were no drug trafficking, corruption, prostitution and it just fight and fight until the end of story. The script was so harsh and but it doesn’t justify gangsterism. Gangsterism in not just bad mouth and fighting, it is also about illegal money laundering, hookers, drugs, smuggling and many more. A typical Malay hero who returned back from the past wrongdoing and finally see his praying mats but trapped into clan territory seized by two gangsters Dragon and King. Two chauvinistic character brought by Shark who betrayed King and Jai who betrayed his lord, Dragon just to show the flow of KL gangsterism and how does their organization chart’s work in flow if they failed to collect the protection money. A very easy predicted movie with a lot of fights and harsh words. A movie that deliberately made to resume from the production that really hunger of Malaysian Ringgit. No star but porn star.

Dad's Day..

Like every country, every third Sunday of June is the Fathers Day. I don’t quite celebrate this most every year but this year might be the worst as I had a small argument with my wife …hah haaa..I did wish to my father on Saturday night and he sounds happy of that.

My father is the most inspiration of everything and he the kind of a man with thousand advises. I was moulded physically and emotionally from him. People would easily recognize me as his son from my feature physically and from the way I sit. Both of us will lift our right leg up and put on to the other one and that’s habitually inherited to me.

Those days, what was given, meaning that you just take it and we don't question much to our father and it's different to kids nowadays. Though I am that kind of stubborn but I do listen to him what things I considered logic to follow. My father was a well-respected teacher by the folks and his knowledge in religious is certificate proven. So that, people called him as Ustaz Ali and he was the master founder of Madrasah Islahiyyah Islamiah at my hometown and also was the first headmaster of that school. As a religious teacher, the solat is the most priority for him and I was always being punished if failed to perform pray. The dicipline is always the major thing in his brain cells but not me and I was always his biggest problem.
Brought up as the only son in the family I never gives me any specialty or get any imunity from my wrongdoings perhaps I was always being punished more than my sisters in the family. He tied me at a tree after found out I was the one who get involved in poo production by the roadside. (hahaha...) Since that ,my life was always his favourite TV programme and he will monitor from dusk till dawn, day to night. My sisters always said that I born with pentagram printed because of my naughtius maximus.

I registered at my secondary school alone and at that time my father decided not to accompanied for my first day school as he tought I was big enough to solve the registration. Since that ,I considered myself totally free from my Father's Occupation. But after I made a spoilt issue and hooked up with some bad things in Form Four he then sent me to SAHC and that's the best decision he ever made as a father. If not, I might involve with drug trafficking now or even worse being hanged.

It is hard for a man to express the love towards another man unless they are gay loving couple. Same goes to a son to his father. I see most of my friends; they are not quite good condition with their father but not me. Maybe the ego thing play a big role to a guy on why they cant get closer with their father. I did have problems last time during my pagan time but now we are in the very good condition. He is not kind of proud of me and I am damn proud to be his son. Since he he realized I'm a "human" now, then we can talk everything together from politics, lifestyle, religious thing but mostly he always wants to talk about politics and religious, a topic that he master about.

Ayah..

No matter what damage I've done, from the moment you tied me at one of trees at the back yard, you screwed me in public, rotan and everything that blantantly punished me, I do appreciate what you had done to me and I love you forever. I am happy to be your next down line mould and proud of it. Happy father’s day from your "only "son who now also entitled as a father.

Lanun Laut

Johnnie Depp is back as the ultimate trickster pirate – Captain Jack Sparrow!! As you can see, I’m more interested in the mermaid. I watched this movie in 3D just yesterday night at OU after hectic with my HLP interview. . Before I start talking about the movie itself, I have to emphasize that there’s nothing much to buzz about watching this movie in 3D. In fact, watching the 2D version is more than good enough unless for 3D view , they can watch the mermaid “ more than “ what we can see.
The movie was quite entertaining with loads of stuffs to laugh about thanks to Captain Jack Sparrow who played his role well, just like in the entire previous Pirates movie.
Pirates lifestyle being derived as wild, selekeh and there are quite kiasu in order to accomplish their mission. This time Barbossa is working under the British royal. The director fully succeeded portrays the king to look so stupid with their feature like a frog. Captain Jack working on his own he jumped from Blackbeard side and some part he is on Barbossa side but at the end pirate is just pirate where he actually working for himself.
On the other hand, I think this movie isn’t as nice as when there’s Keira Knightley. Penelope Cruz as Angelica didn’t really fare well. I think. Thanks to the likes of Captain Barbossa/Blackbeard & the adventurous storyline with quite a lot of intense scenes, the emerge of the mermaids followed by the attack at the bay is one of my favorite scene!
I like the scene where Barbossa use his stick leg to as water container and that’s look cool and a bit disgusting.
Don’t worry if you aren’t one of the hardcore fans of this franchise missing all the previous adventures or if you’ve forgotten the linkage between some characters, this movie can be watch on its own and you would enjoy it as well!

Paganizer

I am rude, harsh and naughty by nature. But that‘s doesn’t justify any bad deeds and wrongdoings to my family and lovely kids. I love them more than everything on earth. I am not romantic person as sweet as Seth Tan , a ‘manufactured’ hero that my wife really adore with , but deep inside I knew she loves me so much and thanking God for having me as a husband. As far as I concern I never put palms of my hands on her face. The life so far as husband and wife and family by and large is pretty much awesome.

I read and shocked something reported from Malaysia Insider that one of feminine activists urged Malaysian women to serve their husband as the first class hooker. What the hell is that to put a wife with parallel with prostitute and that’s something damn stupid back to pagan time where all girls’ babies would be assassinated. In pagan time women are be threaten like a slave. Do they think that marriage is all about sex? I just don’t believe that kind of point of view is still planted in some peoples brain cells. Though I don’t quite agree the women should be the leader but to put, women as low as that is just the worst humiliation of modern people.

read this.

Nicc O Tynne

The most successful of my lifetime achievement was quit smoking. I was heavy smoker since Form One and the only cigarettes I took was Marlboro and it maybe influenced by Slash and Scott Weiland. Yeah… used to be a nicotine extremist. I can’t remember the exact date I quited but it was about three years back after I plucked out my teeth with minor surgery and that’s cost me RM 2000. I still remember that was one night under my lattice at previous house, I was inhaling the smoke and suddenly Yasmine interrupted me by saying she wants to smoke like me. “I want to smoke like Babah…” and she kept repeating saying that and from that I said that’s it, I wont allow such this thing happens to my daughter. Don't you wanna know how much I can save the money a month by quitting cigarettes?RM400 per month and that 's paid for my second car.

Before I went to Malacca for my ISO course, I viewed Awani reported Malacca had spotted five major places as free smoking zone. And now those smokers in Malacca will be considered the public enemy and they can be compounded up to RM 5000. Wuyoo..What ‘s shocked me was Malaysian Insider reported that Suara Anak Malaysia (Suaram) said that the gazzetment of the nods places are violating the human right. What human’s right? Who’s right?

“People have (the) right to smoke,” Suaram co-ordinator E. Nalini told The Malaysian Insider today. Nalini..you such a jack ass.

“We all have health concerns, but it should be done in a proper way... provide alternative places for smokers in all five districts,” she added. My foot lah.. Do they ever think that exhaled smoke is also putting the public as a second hand smoker and that does can kill them?Or those in Suaram members are all heavy smokers? The truth is World Health Organisation (WHO) reportedly said last month that smoking could kill eight million people a year by 2030, up from the current annual death toll of five million.

Tanjong Pagar

I'm not a political observer who can see the diplomatic relationship between the two countries from the view of the paraglide. But in some how rather I might say that the decision of the shut down of the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station operation had made me sad and worried. Many things related to me that I had recorded at the old poor station. It was the place where I took knap before proceeding to the KretaAyer to do my site survey research for my thesis last time. It also was a place where I met Wan Shyrell, last year when Zareene and I tried to throw out our grief after found out Shahnaz having hyphothyroid

In many corners in Tanjung Pagar Station, , I really missed warung M. Hassan That’s where I find the best Mee Rebus and Briyani Gam in the world and the teh tarik was so irresistible.

Obviously, it is a common sense that every one hates if strangers come across our border and trespass our livelihood. . The location of Tanjong Pagar which is situated at south of the Singapore and allows Malaysian across the island may irritated Singaporean. As an exchange of the development, I heard two pieces of land will be replaced. One is near the Padang, where I saw the Red Hot Chili Pepper concert in 2002 and another one is somewhere near Rocho, JB-Singapore bus stop.

From Tanjung Pagar, we can walk and continue to take the MRT somewhere near Cantontment which is Outram Park. It’s a bit near to Sentosa compare if we have stop at Woodlands after this.I ‘m not sure what would be the nearest station to Woodlands. If I am not mistaken, that is none of that. I wish Warung M Hasan will be moved to Woodland soon, so that those passenger from Malaysia still can enjoy the awesome meals there. Suddenly, kacang pool at Warong Wan Chu came across into my mind. Gerek se ....
