Lanun Laut

Johnnie Depp is back as the ultimate trickster pirate – Captain Jack Sparrow!! As you can see, I’m more interested in the mermaid. I watched this movie in 3D just yesterday night at OU after hectic with my HLP interview. . Before I start talking about the movie itself, I have to emphasize that there’s nothing much to buzz about watching this movie in 3D. In fact, watching the 2D version is more than good enough unless for 3D view , they can watch the mermaid “ more than “ what we can see.
The movie was quite entertaining with loads of stuffs to laugh about thanks to Captain Jack Sparrow who played his role well, just like in the entire previous Pirates movie.
Pirates lifestyle being derived as wild, selekeh and there are quite kiasu in order to accomplish their mission. This time Barbossa is working under the British royal. The director fully succeeded portrays the king to look so stupid with their feature like a frog. Captain Jack working on his own he jumped from Blackbeard side and some part he is on Barbossa side but at the end pirate is just pirate where he actually working for himself.
On the other hand, I think this movie isn’t as nice as when there’s Keira Knightley. Penelope Cruz as Angelica didn’t really fare well. I think. Thanks to the likes of Captain Barbossa/Blackbeard & the adventurous storyline with quite a lot of intense scenes, the emerge of the mermaids followed by the attack at the bay is one of my favorite scene!
I like the scene where Barbossa use his stick leg to as water container and that’s look cool and a bit disgusting.
Don’t worry if you aren’t one of the hardcore fans of this franchise missing all the previous adventures or if you’ve forgotten the linkage between some characters, this movie can be watch on its own and you would enjoy it as well!
